general waiver

I acknowledge that the purpose of my participation with Amie Young | Bespoke Wholistic Care (herein referred to as Amie) is to help me improve my health, wellness, and lifestyle. 

I am employing the services of Amie so that I can obtain instruction, information and guidance about health factors within my own control (such as exercise, hydration, lifestyle, wellness, and various other related behaviours) in order to help support my health and wellness.

I understand that services offered by Amie are not a substitute for medical attention and Amie does not diagnose illness, prescribe medications or provide medical treatment.  

I release Amie from legal liability that may arise as a result of my participation in group or private sessions. 

I acknowledge and affirm that I am over the age of 18 and am able  to decide whether or not to participate in group, or private sessions, and I will make an informed choice before doing so. I understand that some of some of Amie’s offerings may not be recommended, nor safe, for those with certain medical conditions. I hereby agree to the following:

• I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition(s) that would prevent my full participation or put me at risk of mental or physical injury in the holistic modalities that I engage in with Amie.

• I am aware that I am required to inform Amie of any and all health conditions I have had in the past and currently have that may impact my participation, before the start of my session, class or event. I will do so by telling Amie personally or in an email before the start of my session, class or event. I am also responsible for informing Amie of any changes in my condition either verbally or via email before my session, class or event.

• I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation with Amie if I have any concerns.

• I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved in the holistic modalities that I engage in with Amie and will ask questions or voice concerns as they arise.

• I have been advised that participation may involve informative hands-on manipulation or massage and I accept that it is my responsibility to inform Amie verbally or in an email before or during my session, class or event,  if I do not want to be touched.

• I agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of Ontario and if any conflict arises between me and Amie, I will attempt mediation before submitting my dispute to binding arbitration. 

• I agree to indemnify Amanda Young from any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury to any third party resulting in my participation in any service provided by Amanda Young. 

cancellation policy

Please note that once you have booked an appointment with me it means that I have reserved time in my schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your appointment less than 48  hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be charged in full for that session.

To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide cancellation notice at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

You can cancel or reschedule an appointment by emailing me at ami@amieyoung.ca or selecting the cancel/reschedule option in your confirmation email.

event policy

With respect to the time and energy put into organizing, promoting and facilitating this session please note that payments are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling. All payments made for this event are final. Your understanding is appreciated and I look forward to seeing you!

reiki waiver

I understand that Reiki is a simple, gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation. I understand that Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. I understand that Reiki does not take the place of medical care. It is recommended that I see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment I may have. I understand that Reiki can complement any medical or psychological care I may be receiving. I also understand that the body has the ability to heal itself and to do so, complete relaxation is often beneficial. I acknowledge that long term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple sessions in order to facilitate the level of relaxation needed by the body to heal itself. 

reflex therapy waiver

I understand that reflexology + reflex therapy are simple, gentle, hands-on healing techniques that are used for stress reduction, health promotion and relaxation.
