We have a tendency to look to the media or internet for wisdom instead of conferring with books or our lineage.

When I internalize this I hear this precept asking me - how are you showing up for your life, in every interaction, with each breath.

This was sticky for me when I first encountered it during first degree training. My initial reaction was 'you can't tell me what to do!'
